We are 100 Days Smarter!

       In science we have been learning about force and motion. We did an experiment with ramps and balls. The kids experimented with different size and weights of balls and tried to see which one would move a toy truck the farthest when we rolled them down a ramp.

      At the beginning of the week the kids brainstormed what good writing looks like. We will be using this as a starting point for mini-lessons on good writing.

       Because Martin Luther King Jr. Day was a holiday for our school we did some activities before the weekend. We read books all week and then on Thursday the kids finished the prompt "I have a dream that....". Friday morning they made their own Martin Luther King Jr. pictures.  

      Thanks to our WONDERFUL PTO we were able to go to a play at the Civic Center. The kids were SO great and had a wonderful time!

The 100th day we had kids dress up as what they thought they would look like when they are 100. Some of them looked pretty great!! 

It's hard to tell but his hair is gray too!
