Thank you SO much for all of the wonderful donations for our Friendship stew. We even had enough left over that I was able to donate some canned food to the food pantry!
We read this book and then did a writing activity about where we thought the turkeys ran to.

| This guy thought they ran to a barn. |
 |
This one thinks they ran to a restaurant.
I hope they weren't on the menu!
The kiddos WONDERFUL placemats! All set up and ready for our stew! |
For some Thanksgiving math the kids made number turkeys!
Kindergarten friends made number turkeys to match the numbers they were building.
First grade students made addition or subtraction turkeys.
For our final Thanksgiving activity the kids told me what they were thankful for. I typed it and cut the words apart. They then had to glue the words in order and draw a picture to match.
For Science we have been learning about WEATHER!!
The kids started by going around to different spots in the room and working together to brainstorm different weather words for each season.
Check out the great work they did!
This is our class brainstorm of weather words.
We also talked about day and night. How they are different and the part the sun plays in creating day and night. After we learned all about this I had the kids finish a writing prompt for what the sun and moon are doing when we don't see them. Some kids went off a little different, but they all ended up pretty great!
